The UK has a long, long history of wool production. We have over 60 native breeds, each of which has evolved to suit the climate in their particular area, from Welsh Mountains to Yorkshire Hills and Southern Downs and Marshland and everywhere in between. When you buy UK produced knitting yarn you are supporting local farmers and small producers, and choosing a reduced carbon footprint and higher ethical and manufacturing standards.
