Perfect for sweaters, scarves, hats and much more - Hamelton Tweed 1 is a real workhorse yarn. It’s an aran/worsted weight so it will work up quickly, and it comes in a lovely range of colours including bright pops and classic neutrals. The organic raw wool comes from mulesing-free farms in Argentina, and is luxuriously soft, making this a perfect yarn for babies or those with sensitive skin.

About BC Garn
BC Garn was founded in Denmark in 1972 as a family company by Bo Carstensen. He must have absorbed the passion for yarns from when he was very little, because his mother was a weaver and his father was a rug wool trader. Her mother had already started having her own yarns produced for her as she could not the kinds of yarns and colors she needed for her projects.
Since 2018, BC Garn has been based in Germany and owned by Britta and Carsten Kremke. Britta has knitted since she was 8 years old (in her mother's yarn store) and at the age of 21 she was Germany’s youngest yarn store owner. Her husband has a degree in business engineering and works as a marketing consultant. BC Garn continues to develop a number of hand and machine knitting yarns that are always made of natural fibres, often organic and partly GOTS certified.
